About Me
I’m a Philadelphia area musician and teacher with 10+ years of experience teaching guitar, ukulele, and bass guitar to people of all levels and ages. At the age of fifteen or so, I began playing guitar and found myself completely hooked! Sometimes practicing as much as ten hours a day. By sixteen, I was teaching, and loving every minute of it! I really enjoy helping students progress and achieve those satisfying epiphany moments. My musical tastes are quite eclectic, and some of my favorite genres include classic rock, indie rock, post rock, metal/djent, prog rock/prog metal, math rock, and sometimes tech-death. I have played and recorded in numerous bands, studied guitar and music theory at a college and attained a jazz performance degree, and am part owner of a business that composes soundtracks & SFX for video games. I enjoy playing music of just about all styles, and have taught nearly every style out there. I’ve always had an interest in mastering the technical side, as well as the melodic end of playing. Though I don't necessarily like every use of this term, I can certainly teach one to "shred". I teach both acoustic and electric, anything from open chords to modulating sweep-tap arpeggios.
